The capital of France is one of the most visited cities on the planet, and it’s not hard to see why. From its iconic landmarks to its trendy neighbourhoods, there’s something for everyone in Paris. Here are some of the main attractions you shouldn’t miss when visiting this amazing city.

The Eiffel Tower is probably the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Parisian landmarks. This impressive steel tower was built in 1889 as an entrance arch for the World’s Fair, and has since become one of the most recognisable structures in the world. Today, visitors can climb up to the top for panoramic views of the city.

Not far from the Eiffel Tower is Notre Dame Cathedral. Although a big fire in 2019 nearly destroyed this beautiful world heritage, this Gothic masterpiece was still one of the most famous churches in the world.

Another popular tourist destination is the Louvre Museum. Home to some of the most famous artworks in history, including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, this museum is a must-visit for any art lover. Be prepared for long queues though – it’s one of the most popular museums in Europe!

And finally, no visit to Paris would be complete without spending time in one of its charming neighbourhoods. Head to Montmartre for stunning views over the cityscape, or explore lively Latin Quarter for a taste of French culture. There really is something for everyone in Paris!
